It seems a bit redundant at this point in the season, but this is a must-win. The Sharks are battling against Dallas and even an overtime win would drop them down to 9th with only 2 more games after tonight's contest.
So what happens is essential in further defining the race for the last spots in the illustrious playoffs. This is a weird place for Sharks fans since the lockout. Prior to that the Sharks did well and actually had just made the Conference finals that year, but many of us remember the early years where the Sharks had to battle hard to just make the playoffs and it's been a long time since I've had to feel this way.
I'm assuming Niemi will be in. He got a shutout last game and I didn't get to see it, but I read many reports that stated how well he played. He does generally bring it in the playoffs from the few years he's been in it. So hopefully we see that and they actually make it.
So if you get it on your telly, watch tonight's game. It should be really good as these are 2 teams that could easily be winning the division that is tougher than the record shows.
